Double the Fun?
I saw my most recent double feature with my friend and upcoming film club treasurer Riley Wilson '28. Everyone has been providing their thoughts and commentary on the rise in sex movies this summer. We saw two of them. If you are curious about my thoughts before the movie released about the two films we watched check out my blog titled, "My Most Anticipated Releases for the Rest of 2026." The Other Sex Movies I Didn't Double Feature Returnning to the sex movies topic, do I k

Favorite Films: The Correct Choices
I decided I would take it easy with this next blog. With my last blog describing a busy time in my life and the one before that showcasing some pretty dark films, it's only fair to put out something easier to read. Less words. Lighter, fewer thoughts. Just movies. These are some films I would just label as "correct." It isn't controversial about saying these are 5 out of 5s. They are just amazing. Plain and simple. I am going to attempt to not make this list not too boring

Favorite Films: Unseen and Unseeing
A new favorites list! It has been a while since I have returned to this blog topic that is supposed to be reoccurring. There are just so many fascinating things all of the time that I absolutely have to talk about. When I was looking at my list of 5/5s on Letterboxd, I felt that these films all go together, even if it doesn't quite make sense at first. I know this title is incredibly vague, but it will make sense in due time. Image from Children on Men. Unseen: Children on Me

Double Trouble
I had another double feature (forever ago), but I figured I would still do a blog about it. I may not remember all of the details, but it was still a fun time. I find it super important to remember the good times, especially when you are alone, which is often what I have been doing with my double features this summer. First, I went to Chick-fil-A. Inside, I read Hamlet, a required reading for my upcoming study away. This leads me to a quick mini-rant. Anywhere Can Be Your Co

Supergirl Forgot the Girl Part
I watched Supergirl recently and I had a lot of thoughts as a girl in college and who grew up with superheroes. I was incredibly disappointed, not because the movie was bad, but rather it had the potential to be a love letter to my demographic. Warning, there will be spoilers ahead. Supergirl and Mental Health At the end of James Gunn's Superman, everyone got the impression that Supergirl was gonna be a little messy, chaotic, but a whole lot of fun. Upon watching the movie it

How I Double Feature
A double feature. A cost and time-effective way to watch movies. You may think it is a waste. “Why watch two in one day? You’re wasting so much time?” Au contraire, mon frère, it is actually quite the opposite. Here are some reasons: You only have to go to the movie theater and leave the movie theater one time. It helps you block out time. That day, you're booked. That's it. Reserve that time for yourself, or whoever you plan on attending the movies with. It reduces the need/

Delving Into More of My 5/5s
I wanted to continue the series of talking about some of my favorite films, more specifically 5/5s. I’m gonna be looking through my Letterboxd and I'll use this ranked format with prompts to share some recommendations. Some popular, some not so much. Most of these, however, are very popular, but maybe you just haven’t gotten around to them…hopefully? Surely there are some that you haven’t seen yet, and this will inspire you to tune in. Like I said in my other favorites post,

"What's Your Letterboxd Top 4?"
I have seen too many films–I mean, there’s no such thing really–but last year I watched 150, the year before a grand total of 270 films, and this year I am sitting at 94 so far (granted some I was kind of tuned out for, like Ouija Shark but that's besides the point). The thing is, I don’t use my Letterboxd four favorites in the traditional sense, and although I love the films, I wouldn’t say they are the most defining of who I am. (Well maybe one of them, but no spoilers.) I
